Websites for cafés and restaurants
They are standing outsidereading your menu.
Make it worth reading. The dishes, the prices, the hours and the room — on a phone, in the ten seconds before they decide to walk in or walk on.

A place we actually built a site for
Peppery
Not a template with a restaurant name dropped on it, and not a picture of a website. It is live, and you can open it and judge it the way somebody choosing where to eat tonight would.
See it liveWhat a restaurant website actually needs
Six of the things you can put in it. The first three are what every visitor came for; the other three come with every build.
Menu or price list
Not a photograph of a PDF. The actual dishes and the actual prices, in text somebody can read one-handed on the street outside.
Map and directions
Open now or not, and a map. The two things every single visitor checks, above everything else you might want to say.
Photo gallery
People are choosing where to sit for two hours. Show them the room, not a stock photograph of a coffee cup.
Brand identity kit
Logo, colours, type and the rules for using them — yours to keep and use anywhere, not only here.
Mobile-first layout
Built for the phone first, because that is where somebody standing on the pavement deciding is looking at it.
Search engine basics
The groundwork that lets somebody searching for what you serve, near where you are, actually find you.
How your restaurant site gets built
Six steps, and you can stop after the second one having cost nothing and told us nothing.
Choose what your site does
Open the builder and pick the features from the list. Nothing to install and no account needed to look.
Watch the price as you go
It moves as you choose. You see what it costs before you owe anything, which is the whole reason the builder is public.
Pay, or use a code
One setup fee and a monthly care plan. If somebody gave you a code, put it in instead — the code is the payment.
Answer the brief
What you do, who you do it for, what makes the place itself worth it. Rough answers are fine, and anything you skip we cover in the kickoff call.
We build it
From your brief and your choices. Your colours and your words, not a template with your name dropped on it.
It goes live, and it keeps working
The monthly covers hosting, updates and fixes, and C.A.R.E. answering the enquiries that arrive while you are busy.
It answers while you are on the pass
Nobody is checking messages at half past seven on a Saturday. That is also exactly when people are deciding where to eat, and asking whether you can seat six.
C.A.R.E. is built in rather than bolted on, and it sits inside the monthly rather than being sold to you as an extra later.
Everything in one place
- The site itself, built to your brief
- Every feature you picked in the builder
- A brand identity kit that is yours to keep
- Hosting, kept live
- Updates and fixes
- C.A.R.E. answering your enquiries
Reach more people, grow your place
Build yours nowGet found when people search
Titles, descriptions and structure so search engines can read the site — and so somebody looking for what you do, where you are, lands on you rather than a directory.
Send people from social to something you own
Your profiles linked from the site and the site linked from your profiles. A follower is rented; somebody who has your address is not.
Say something new without paying anyone
A blog or news page you can post to yourself. Every post is another page that can be found, and it costs nothing to add.
Keep the people who already liked you
A newsletter signup, so the person who visited once has a way back that does not depend on them remembering your name.
A foundation you do not have to think about
The parts nobody asks for until they are missing.
It loads fast, and we measure it
Load speed and layout shift are measured against fixed budgets — two and a half seconds to the biggest thing on screen, and almost no jumping about as the page settles — rather than judged by eye. A slow site is a site people leave before it finishes arriving.
It works for people who cannot use a mouse
Every public page is checked against the WCAG rules automatically before it ships, at desktop and phone size, and nothing is failing. Most small-business sites have never been checked once.
It keeps being looked after
Hosting, updates and fixes are the monthly. A site that was built once and never touched again is how a business ends up with a phone number on the internet that nobody answers.
Restaurant website questions
Can I update the menu myself when prices change?
Yes — and a menu that can only be changed by ringing whoever built the site is a menu that goes out of date. Editing it is part of the build, not a support ticket.
Do I need this if I am already on the delivery apps?
The apps take a cut of every order and own the customer. Your own site is where somebody who already likes you goes to find you again — and there is no commission on a table booked directly.
What about the questions that come in during service?
They get answered. C.A.R.E. is our customer-response system and it is part of the build rather than an add-on — so “do you have anything gluten free?” on a Saturday night does not wait until Monday.
Do I have to write all the words myself?
No. You answer a brief about the place — what you cook, who comes in, what the room is like — and we build from that. Rough answers are fine, and anything you skip we cover in the kickoff call.
Is this a template with my restaurant name dropped in?
No. It is built from your brief — your colours, your words, your menu. Open the sites we have built and check: they are live, and none of them is the same site twice.
What does the monthly fee actually cover?
Hosting, updates and fixes, and C.A.R.E. answering the enquiries that arrive while you are working. The one-off fee builds the site; the monthly keeps it live and looked after.
Can I cancel the monthly?
Yes — contact us any time to change or cancel it. Worth knowing before you do: the monthly IS the hosting, so cancelling it takes the site off the web. It does not take the site off you. The design, the words and the brand kit are yours, and you can host them elsewhere.
Do I own it, or am I renting it?
It is a real site on real hosting and it stays yours. It is not a page trapped inside a builder you have to keep paying to log into.
Do I have to pay before I see anything?
No. Open the builder and the price moves as you choose. You see your exact figure before you owe anything and before you have told us who you are.
How much does it cost?
One setup fee and one monthly care plan, and both are on the pricing page with what the same thing costs assembled from separate suppliers.
Someone gave me a code. What does it do?
It takes money off the build. Enter it here and you will see your exact figure before you commit to anything.
Can I change things after it is live?
Yes — updates and fixes are what the monthly is for. A site nobody can change is a site that goes out of date, and a price list you have to ring someone to edit is one that stays wrong.
Will it work on a phone?
It is built for the phone first. That is not a feature we charge for; it is where your customers are, so it is where the design starts.
Built for your kind of business
Not on the list? Start from the brief — every build is made from your answers, not from a category.
Your kitchen. Your menu.Your room full.
Design it yourself and watch the price as you go. Nothing to install, and nothing to commit to until you like what you see.
